Yannis Mourjopoulos, assistant professor of Electroacoustics at Patras University and a frequent collaborator of Floros Floridis and Michalis Siganidis, presents his first work on CD, a selected number of his compositions, which were used for short-film soundtracks, TV-films, Ads and video clips, between 1985 and 1995.
Believing that modern technology, used properly, can contribute to a wider audio-visual perception, in harmony with the atmosphere of the music, Yannis worked together with painter Christos Markidis to realize the visual part of the album, so that it can be read by a PC with a CD-Rom drive, with no need to load the data on the hard disc of the PC.
The music, perfectly recorded and performed by the composer himself (Floros Floridis plays only in three of the albums´ tracks), gives emphasis on the creation of a variety of electronic soundscapes, leading to a pure ambient result, avoiding complications or ´cheap´ impressions.
The visual remarks made by painter Christos Markidis in the multimedia part of the CD, put the finishing touch to the audio part, trying not to ´chase´ the music through the pictures.
DRAMAMUSIC is a place, where technology with a human face is congruent to art and Yannis Mourjopoulos´ personal aesthetics, thus trying to give answers to the inner and sublime needs of the listener/user.

Note:
The first enhanced CD of ANO KATO includes 11 musical pieces which can be heard in any CD-player and is accessible to PC´s with multisession CD-ROM drive. Minimum demands of the system: PC with processor 486 or faster, Microsoft Windows, 8 MB RAM and VGA monitor with analysis 800 x 600.
